어 근데 듣는데 자꾸
이거 어디서 들어본건 같은데
좋긴한데 뭐지
하고 찾아보다가
놀랍게도 어쿠스틱이라 부르고
걍 무반주에 노래하는 여성분의 영상이
굉장히 취향이라 바로 해석해 봄
나무위키 보는데 1980년대 곡이고
실제로 브로드웨이에 있는
Tom's restaurant에서 따와서 쓴 곡이고
노래를 쓸때,
즉 1981~82년 사이에 벌어졌던 일들을
(자신이 경험했던 일들을)
소재로 쓴 곡이라고 함
처음에는 별로 안 유명했는데
DNA라는 일렉트로닉 뮤직 듀오가
원작자 허락도 안 받고
지들 멋대로 곡 편곡해서 썼다가
대박이 나서
나중에 협의해서 리믹스로
정식 출간 했다고 함
결과는 좋았지만
과정이 쓰레기

개인적으로는 DNA 버전보다
나중에 조르조 모로더에
브리트니 스피어스가 피쳐링한 버전이 더 좋았음
